The purpose of this academic thesis is to study and analyze a production of To Kill a Mockingbird (novel by Harper Lee, stage adaptation by Christopher Sergel). This study includes pre-production research that explores the similarities and differences in plot, timeline, characters, and themes between the novel and play, as well as the historical significance and contemporary relevance of the story.
